Was born 21st October 1939 by father – Hilton John Nolland and mother – Nee – Cassie May Roughley . Both his parents were founding owners of acreage land in the Dural area .Streets in the local area have been named after both Clarrie’s parents.
Clarrie attended Kenthurst Primary School and then Old-Carlingford High School where he completed the intermediate Certificate.
Clarrie then worked on farms and in a plywood factory and then went to light transport and from there to a service station mechanic.
Clarrie married Julia Bircon on the 16th February 1963.
He was a service station proprietor for 2 ½ years and then entered heavy transport for 15 years attaining driver assessor training.
Clarrie has two children, a son and a daughter, and four grandchildren, two grandsons and two granddaughters.
In 1985 Clarrie and Julia purchased a caravan park which they ran for seven years and then purchased a shoe shop which they were the proprietors of for fifteen years.
Clarrie became a member of the Round Corner Chamber of Commerce from when he was involved with the retail shoe business at Dural and he was elected President for two years from 1993.In 1994 Clarrie joined Dural Rotary Club.
In November 2007 Clarrie and Julia retired from full time work but they both remain active members of the community.
