Paul Wade

Our Year 6 students recently travelled to Galston Public School for a motivational talk by Paul Wade (Ex Australian Socceroos Captain). Paul spoke about the changes ahead for Year 6 students transitioning into High School. He spoke about determination, resilience, persistence, seeking help, and never giving up. It was a highly inspirational presentation. Paul also demonstrated a range of sporting skills used to develop team-work and build confidence. Thank you to the Galston Bendigo Bank for sponsoring this wonderful event.

Baseball Clinic

As part of our PD/H/PE Program, students from Kinder to year 6 are enjoying taking part in the baseball clinics. This is an initiative of the Sporting Schools Program.

Sunglasses Mufti Day

Students in K to 6 recently wore mufti to school to raise funds for the Guide Dogs. The students contributed $100.00.Beth from the Guide Dog Association visited with her guide dog Queenie. She spoke to the students about the challenges that blind people face every day. All students received their sunglasses and proudly wore these for the fashion parade.

Thank you Bendigo Bank

We have been able to purchase a class set of iPads thanks to the Bendigo Bank of Galston generously donating $6,000 to the school. We would like to thank Gary Mangan and the Bendigo Bank Board of Directors for supporting this technology initiative, which will enhance the educational outcomes of our students.

Milkshake Day

Thanks to our own special “milkshake making maestro” Joel of 1/2, who came up with the idea of supporting New South Wales Variety Children’s Charity through a milkshake mufti Day. $330.00 was raised to support this charity.
