The weekend of March 21 and 22 will see a second Youth in Agriculture Expo conducted at the Castle Hill Showground.
There is to be a special emphasis on young people caring for, judging quality of and training the various animals and birds featured during the weekend. There will be junior judging categories for all the animals and a competition for young people parading winning beasts. Last year’s winner of the Junior Judging at Castle Hill, Olivia Broughton, went on to win at the Royal and will represent NSW in New Zealand shortly.
The horse events will be the previous weekend, March 13 and 14.As well as the animals there will be a children’s and schools’ Art and Craft section and a Young Farmer Challenge Competition.
That’s something for all the family.The Bantam Club will be running a full schedule for poultry including the Junior Judging competition.All the details of this great weekend with the animals and their handlers are on the Castle Hill Show website for those who wish to enter or time their visits for a particular event.
