With great sadness we report that our much loved member, Warwick Thomson, has passed away after a short but tenacious battle with cancer.
His 40 years in the RFS were covered in the November 2017 edition of the Dooral Roundup.

“Wazza” was a pivotal leader of both Cherrybrook and Dural Brigades, and was awarded a Long Service Medal for over 40 years of service to the Rural Fire Service in September last year. As a Captain, Group Captain, Fire Investigator and Educator, he was always generous with his extensive knowledge and calm, wise mentorship. His unflappable nature and depth of experience are irreplaceable and he will be deeply missed.

Our sincerest condolences go out to his family at this sad time. His favourite truck to drive, small but mighty Dural 7, has been awarded the honour of bearing his name.
Vale Waz, we will treasure the memories.
