Dural Rotary is one of many service clubs in our local Hills Shire area, and this year celebrates its 50th Club Anniversary. The Club is a large supporter of the community, and provides service projects that addresses many of today’s most critical issues, such as children at risk, poverty and hunger, the environment, illiteracy, and violence.

The club also supports programs for youth, educational opportunities and international exchange for students, teachers, and other professionals, and vocational and career development.

Dural Rotary Club has supported many PHD Researchers in various fields of medical research, including Parkinson’s disease, Motor Neuron, Pancreatic, Prostate and Breast Cancer.

The Club conducts Youth Mental Health Forums in the Hills District in association with a number of professional clinicians. These highly successful programs are held at local high schools for year 10 and 11 students. The annual Golf Day held each year at Riverside Oaks has raised over $200,000 for local charities and Men’s Health programs.

Dural Rotary will celebrate its 50th Anniversary on 23rd June 2017 and is looking forward to serving the community for many more years to come. During the 50 years, Dural Rotary Club has distributed well over $3.5 million to the local Community and to the Rotary Foundation, plus International Projects around the world. The Club regularly supports the Dural Salvation Army, disability organisations Inala and Warrah, and 10 local schools in the district with presentation donations.

The Club was instrumental in the setup of the RYDA program which today has grown to a National Organisation supporting young drivers learning how to drive successfully.

The Charter President of Dural Rotary Club Ben Swane, will be our guest of honour at the 50th Anniversary Dinner.

More recently members of Dural Rotary attended local Anzac Services to honour our fallen solders.
