On the evening of Tuesday 30th January, Dural Rotary Club held their Annual Australia Day Awards night.

The awards night was well attended by members of Dural Rotary and other local dignitaries. This year’s Dural Rotary Club Australia Day Community Service Award was presented to Clarrie Nolland for his continuous ‘service above self’ to both the Dural Rotary Club and the community at large. Clarrie has been a member of Dural Rotary since 1973.
His wife Julia and extended family were in attendance at the meeting to celebrate him receiving this award. The award was presented by local State MP, Matt Kean, Minister for Innovation and Better Regulation. Matt gave a glowing speech on Clarrie’s achievements. Matt also gave thanks to past President Allan Forno, who retired as President of the Dural Rotary Club on 12th December, after serving for 5 consecutive years.

Allan has now taken the position of International Director. Incoming President George Truelove, who took up the reigns of office on 21st January 2018, says he is looking forward to leading the club and invites any men or women to come along and see Rotary in action at Dural Country Club on the second Tuesday of the month. 6 30 for 7 00pm.
