Northside international stars will feature when The Galston Concerts start their 2020 series Sunday afternoon 22 March.

Three’s Company – Berowra clarinetist Deborah de Graaff, Normanhurst pianist Tonya Lemoh and Middle Cove soprano Narelle Yeo will bring careers of international profile to Hills district music-lovers.

They’ll perform a Viennese line-up of music by Mozart and Schubert’s Shepherd on the Rock (a ‘top ten’ Classical song setting) plus music from England, Spain and Polish dances.Three’s Company international successes – Deborah in London and Munich;

Tonya in especially Scandanavia; Narelle mostly in the USA – now find them Sydney-based, staffing Sydney Conservatorium and soon to be a trio of musical ‘Doctors’.

This 2pm concert in Galston Uniting Church will see them joined by Galston Concerts founder-directors, themselves performers in over thirty countries -Robert Harris, viola, in music by Beethoven, and Dorit Herskovits, double bass, in cabaret songs.

A further bonus of a pre-concert organ prelude, starting c. 1.30pm, will feature Emily Thompson, top prizewinner of the 2019 Organ Music Society of Sydney competitions, as part of The Galston Concerts young performers project.Post-concert complimentary afternoon teas allow for an added mix-and-mingle chance to meet the performers.
