Australia’s top female real estate professionals were crowned recently at the REB Women in Real Estate Awards 2019 in Sydney.

The event was attended by over 500 people who were gathered to recognise the nation’s leading women in the industry: real estate agents, property managers, auctioneers, innovators and market leaders.

Local agency Lumby Hampson were announced the winner of Diversity Boutique Independent of the Year – 3 or less offices. REB editor Tim Neary said “It is a great to recognise the industry’s high-performance female agents and businesses.”

“I am so proud of our diverse team and agency that specialize in acreage and auctions in the Hills District.” Kate said. Her mother Jan Lumby who started the agency with her father Barry in 1968 attended the event as a special guest. Jan was trailblazer working in sales when it was predominately men in real estate. She taught Kate from an early age the empathy, care, service and strength through gentleness a women brings to real estate. Kate says “Diversity is not just about gender differences but about the ability of us all to balance our lives as a parent, a partner, a daughter, and a friend.”

This award recognizes Lumby Hampson’s adaptability, support for women in real estate and the community. She believes balancing hard work and family is enriched by care and giving to your self and others. Recently climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa and participating in a project helping women at the foothills of the Marangu Village reaffirmed the importance of helping women and giving back.

Lumby Hampson supports many community events and is a Platinum Sponsor for Dural Public School’s 150 years Anniversary Country Fair.
