It seems like only yesterday, or maybe 2017, when Dural Shed members, Colin Heald and Laurie Pentecost commenced a labour of love, sweat, and tears, in bringing back to life a 1976 MINI.
The resulting yellow MINI, in all it’s glory, will be on display at the car show, which is being run again this year by the Dural Men’s Shed. The MINI will be joined by 60 of the most beautiful cars of all shapes, sizes, some from this current age, and some a memory of a past era. Men, come along, bring your families, there are plenty of eats from the BBQ. All cars on show will be indoors under cover.
Proceeds from the day will be used by the shed to support and help the well being of men and youth of all ages through the many shed activities, with men able to walk alongside men supporting them though life issues. Back to the MINI….it has been a shed project involving a number of students from Galston High School including Caleb, Tom, Jack, Brendan, Lachlan, Jacob and Jerry. We also want to give a tremendous thank you to these corporate sponsors of the MINI project without whom it would not have been possible;
• Greg Preston the CEO of Association of Progressive Repairers
• Joseph Kaltoun of CONCEPT PAINTS and his staff
• John Smidt of MINI KINGDOM
• Local MINI guru, Rocky Canto
Our sincere thanks to these wonderful people for their great support.
Looking forward to seeing you at the car show on Saturday 31 August.
