The Rotary Club of West Pennant Hills and Cherrybrook held their annual Pride of Workmanship Awards on May 27th. Seventy people including Rotary Assistant Governor, John Fenessy; the Deputy Mayor of Hornsby Shire, Councillor Vince Del Gallego and Rotarians from the Rotary Club of Pennant Hills attended the ceremony at Springfield House Dural.

The recipients were:

■ Geoff Baldry a local builder from Cherrybrook nominated by Rotarian Neville Hansen.

■ Jessica Thy, the marking manager for Mirvac at the Cherrybrook Shopping Centre nominated by President Colin Sharpe and sponsored by her supervisor Michael Mitchell.

■ Michael Tran, proprietor of Cherrybrook Pharmacy at Appletree Shops and Club Silver sponsor. Michael shares his award with his staff, Debbie Tran, Kristina Rupsys and Isabel Lazaroo. Michael was nominated by Rotarian Peter Cleary.

The award gives recognition to employees and business owners who have demonstrated the Pride of Workmanship moto “Do it right, do it well” through their service and the products they provide.

The Club holds this award ceremony every year and club members are constantly on the look out for persons to nominate for such awards.

Such a recognition fits closely with Rotary’s moto of “Service Above Self” If you too would like to know more about Rotary in your local community please call President Colin Sharpe on 0408 810 463.
